Sacred Shoreline
Hi, I'm Ren!
The artist behind Sacred Shoreline.

Sacred shoreline was inspired by a few things - My love for the ocean, my experience in Veterinary Medicine and Two horses: Aly and Flash
It all started during an uncertain time. I had some health issues come up and was in constant pain which caused me to be unable to work. When I’d have the energy and was able to leave the house, I’d go to the beach. I’d wander on the shore for hours and collect seaglass. The ocean brought me a lot of comfort and connection when I needed it. I then started to create necklaces with the seaglass I collected.

With a background in Emergency and Specialty Veterinary Medicine, I have seen a lot of loss. I have helped many families say goodbye to their beloved companions and its an honor that will always break my heart. It has shown me how deep the love runs between animals and their people. I know the weight of missing them- I carry it too.
That weight is what led me to create something for myself. Two horses- Aly and Flash- were there for me when I needed them most, and their love has taught me in ways I can’t put into words. I wanted a way to honor them and the love we shared. I started experimenting with making jewelry from the pieces of their tails that I had saved. I wear my pendants everyday. I’ll always carry the weight of missing them but having a piece of them with me makes the weight less heavy. They remind me of the love we shared and bring me comfort. That comfort is something I want to share with those who carry the same weight.

Sacred Shoreline Firsts...
One of the first pendants I made- This is my pendant for Flash (See the Flash Fund page to learn about her impact on my life). I was so nervous to make this pendant as I had little experience and didn’t entirely know what I was doing. I am so happy I took the leap and started

This was the first pendant I made for someone I didn’t know. This was also anxiety inducing and I was terrified to mess it up. This pendant was given as a christmas gift to someone who had to say goodbye to a very loved horse. I am truly grateful for those who trust me, especially with something so special

One of my first pendants with pet fur- My friend has an english bulldog and it was shedding season. I asked for some of his hair and made this pendant for her

First pendant with whisker- A friend reached out wanting a pendant with whiskers from. I had not done one with whiskers and sketched the design many times until I had the confidence to put it together. My friend loved her pendant. It is always such an honor to be trusted with something so special

Second pendant with ashes- I posted on facebook asking if any friends were interested in having a pendant made in honor of their loved ones so I could get more practice working with ashes. A friend reached out and sent me some of her cats ashes. I was also very nervous with how this pendant would turn out. My friend was over the moon with her pendants
